Granny Tsai Charity Inc., established in September of 2011 is a public charity under section 501 (c) 3. Contributions are deductible under section 170 of the code. Contributions to Granny Tsai's Resale and Donation Center of cash, bequests, devices, tranfers of gifts are all tax deductible under sections 2055, 2106 and 2522 of the code. The center will rely on cash donations and donations of pre-owned, better grade items to be sold at the Resale and Donation Center to accomplish its goals. This year, funds generated by Granny Tsai Charity will be designated to support SPECIAL OLYMPICS and SENIOR OLYMPICS.
| The Mission This charity is to serve as a legacy to Mrs. Wu Tse Tsai's Christian beliefs, stressing her high ideas of charity and service. To this end we will reach out to other non-profits, building connections and asking that they join us and our mission. Granny Tsai's Resale and Donation Center is a community outreach project of Granny Tsai Charity, serving as a connection between University City's multi-culturial population, as well as surrounding communities, and area non-profits that provide health and social services. Major outreach events will be scheduled each year, the Tuesday before Easter, and the Saturday before Thanksgiving. These events will give agencies an opportunity to gather at one site, at one time in an effort to conveniently connect with people looking for information and help.
